The old OEM armrest with the phone which I replaced for a new one (without the phone).
It was replaced with a new cream colored vinyl armrest from Aliexpress. Looks like new!
Decided to take the plunge and tried a T3 turbo blanket for the TD04HL-13T turbo for my S80 2.4T.
It is noticeable especially when shifting gears, the lag is reduced by a tad which is good news.
Bought this unit on Aliexpress.
Update per 28-02: I stopped using this, as I had quality concerns
Finally did a replacement which was on my list for a long time. I replaced the old fuel pump with a new unit from Meat&Doria.
I needed to wait for the Fuel Ring Locking Ring Tool before I was able to continue as the rings (2!) sit very tight.
Car feels like new again!
I had a feeling that the Volvo wasn’t making enough power and when I tested the wastegate actuator, it felt loose and sloppy.
Checking the turbogauge showed me that I was running on 0.3 – 0.35 BAR max, whilst it needs to make 0.5 bar aka 7-8 PSI.
I decided to order a new wastegate actuator from Mambatek which is a direct replacement.
It took a little bit more effort than expected, but I was able to get it done and the results are there. The turbo is able to boost to 0.5 BAR aka 7-8 PSI again. Result!
Made some flyby shots of my daily Volvo s80 2.4T which has some modifications as it is being prepared for a stage 3 tune (swapping the 13T over for a 16T T5 turbo).
